Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the typo, but enjoyed a good laugh from it, the sign said "ENTER HEAR".

Gosh, its been a long time since I blogged. So much has happened. But the most spectacular thing lately has been my recent trip to Havasupai Falls. I wasn't alone. I was accompanied by my beautiful and loving girlfriend, Lisa, her brother Matt, and my good friend Andrea. We made the 5.5 hour drive up to the trailhead, then the 10 mile hike into the canyon with our 35 - 50 pound packs, and camped for 2 nights in the amazing Arizona north.

Now those who know me probably think I just drove up there for the fun of it, but quite the contrary. Even though my next road trip just happened to be the big GC, that wasn't the reason for the trip. What better way to spend New Years then with friends, family (some had their families present), and Jesus... and not with wasted people being stupid and goofy (just the latter... goofy).

So, for the past few months, I have been watching the O'Reilly factor, starring... Bill O'Reilly. I really enjoy watching the Factor because its not just some right-wing show that bashes former president Clinton... and her husband. Its, as the slogan goes, Fair and Balanced. He invites on just as many from both sides of the line. He is open to hear both sides of the argument and lets both sides have their fair share of time to explain.

Anyways, at the end of his show, almost every night, he has a segment called "The Most Ridiculous Item of the Day", followed by some of his viewers emails. So I thought, how cool would that be, have Bill O'Reilly, star of the most popular prime time news show, read one of my emails. So I started sending in some not so pithy emails, to no avail. I learned quick that Bill likes to bloviate, and not his viewers, so I tried keeping it to the point, but still, 23 emails and nothing!

HOWEVER! Today, Wednesday this fifteenth day of November in the year two thousand and six, I made it to Prime Time. The piece I emailed him on was about airport security, and he was basically whining about how he has to take his shoes off to get through security, but only at SOME airports. So I emailed him this.

"Bill, people I know who frequently travel wear sandals to help speed the metal detector lines. Maybe you should get some thongs."

Now, anyone who knows me, knows that I choose my words very carefully there, and with intent of a joke. Regardless, this is what showed up.

APPARENTLY, I'm the only one who has never ridden in the car when you take it to the carwash. And the best part... it cost 3 bucks! How sweet is that?! Now, it hurts me to say this, but to be honest, I was a little scared.

Let me elaborate. It is official. My car loves Wyoming. My reasoning. All the way up to Wyoming, we got 24 - 25 miles per gallon in gas milage, BUT, once we entered Wyoming, it jumped up to 27. So naturally, you would think that it must have been mostly downhill into Jackson Hole... so you would expect that on the way out of Jackson Hole, it would be less because we would be going uphill, BUT, my mileage actually went up even more to 28! So CLEARLY, we found the "G35" spot, and it is in Jackson Hole, WY.
